Meet LovieLovie lived happily with his two siblings and parents. His Mum was very friendly and took care of them very well. She was so protective of them that sometimes she didn’t even like the routine checkups and tried to block the holding of her chicks in human hands.
But one day, out of the blue, the Mum attacked the chicks. The two siblings died and Lovie was bleeding as his foot and wing was injured badly. Lovie was taken in and now he lives in his new home. He is hand-fed every few hours. His diet consist of many things, grounded and added to his formula. He is weighed daily to make sure that he is growing. He is still terrified but thankfully recovering well.He is so cute and loving, and makes everyone around him so happy.

Aww, BB, he's a lucky little guy. I see you are also using the propagator with a thermometer for your hospital cage. phoebe was asking about this in another thread.

What a sad story for poor Lovie's siblings, but he is so lucky you found him before he was killed too. He has fallen on his feet with you to care for him so well. A happy ending for Lovie, and what a beautiful bird he is becoming. We need plenty more pictures and updates please!

What a story, BB - and beautifully told and illustrated. Thank you.
Lovie is indeed fortunate, but how sad for his siblings. Why do you think the mum attacked them after being caring? Is this a unlovable characteristic of lovebirds?
