Of course you will brian.you have to think positive. I like both types of budgies.i like the fluffy exhibition type but i know they seem to have more problems than the little pet type.i also like the pet type because they look small and cute, but i do think when i see them in pet shops they are getting too small and i always worry that keep using little tiny budgies they will have problems when breeding.i try and find the biggest type of pet budgies if i go searching to buy.next year though i will be breeding a couple of pairs of exhibition and a couple of pet type.sorry to go on about it but i suppose i like both as long as i see babies ( brian)and the budgies are ok i am happy. Sue Yeah i know thry are australias size,but my viva is a small boy but when you see them in our pet shop who gets them from a commercial breeding place and i think they arent giving the poor things enough nutrition to help them grow to even vivas size which is small. The next time i got to that store i will take a photo of them and show you how small the poor things are. Sue The bush budgies are a lot smaller, Sue. They don't seem to have a problem.

Sue Only one healthy chick Sue, and 30 eggs, will keep you posted as cage 5 started earlier than others,some have had 8 am going to put some in cage 5 Thank you brian i would like to follow your eggs hatching.8 eggs in some nests is a good amount,it is wise to transfer a few over.hope your girls can cope if all your eggs are fertile.i am going away until the 28th but please keep me posted on this thread and i promise i will catch up with the posts when i am back. sue

What the update Brian First chick is looking good, big and full crop, in cage 5, one in cage 4 and one in cage 3, I also had a new candler bought for me, so going to have a look later........

Quick up date on my lot, cage 4, 3 chicks 4 eggs, cage 5 one chick 1 egg not fertile and one chick died, cage 3, 2 chicks 5 eggs, so 6 chicks up till now,I don't think all eggs are fertile,I have candled but am going to leave them in anyway as it takes pressure off the chicks when mum keeps them warm........
