Well done you! Now just the finishing off and wretched, beautiful, cunning and hungry raptor(s) will have to fill his belly elsewhere ........ maybe some mice at the allotment???

They must be soooooo tempting to a hawk or whatever. Those colourful little birds, just hanging around.

My aviary is double wired and I'm pleased I did as this young sparrow hawk visited a few time until it released it couldn't get to the budgies xxx Hey.... that's the fella that dropped in on us!! He/She turned up again this morning while I was standing next to the flight. Blinking cheek... The local pigeons weren't impressed and there's been no sign of the gold finches in the garden recently Unfortunately my camera is hardly ever with me when I want it. Your flight looks brilliant Gaile and thanks for sharing the photos. Much to my surprise I've found the double-mesh on my aviary doesn't make it that difficult for us to see the budgies.
