health update.
Friday I had a 24 hour ECG. Results this Friday.
Today I have been to the physio and chest hospital.
Physio: I have carpal tunnel syndrome in my left arm and have to have an operation to relieve the pressure on the nerve. Also have to wear a splint on my arm. It's had to type, but I am determined..
I had an xray and lung function tests. Xray was clear. Was weird being shown a ghostly outline of my boobs, heart and ribcage..
Lung tests were pretty much as was 2 months ago.
I'm coming off the steroids. I know it's only temporary as I still have my birds and they are my greatest allergy. But it's a mini-success for now.

Woooooo hoooooo!!!!! ;D Marianne any success is a good thing. Good luck with the carpal tunnel op - these usually give pretty good results from what I have seen and heard. Do you have a date?
Hope all goes well coming off the steroids. Do they stop them all at once, or reduce the amount and then take you off them?

That's great news Marianne! Fingers crossed that the carpel tunnel op comes round quick - I have it in both wrists and they still wont do anything about it as it is not severe enough yet?! Let us know how you get on with your ECG results this week

Hope it all goes well, M. What's caused the carpal tunnel? Pity we can't pick up new bits to replace our worn out ones on eBay

Health update:
Things are not too good presently. My oxygen saturations keep falling dramatically and I am exhausted all of the time. I have an appt with my GP for 1.40 and am going to ask for a home oxygen assessment. Can't walk to the bathroom without being out of breath. Going outside is just ridiculous, I have to stop every 10 metres to catch my breath.
How is everyone else?

Arthritis in knee and ankle - stable, not too bad. Arthritis in ring-finger knuckles - getting worse, but bearable. Weak muscle in hip - keeps letting me down, but working HARD on strengthening it. Small bikkies when compared to what you are going through, Marianne. Good luck with the GP. Hope you get what you ask for.

That sounds horrible Marianne, my youngest girl has Asthma she is 33 now and its getting worse, i used to suffer with it as a child but seem to have grown out of it unless i spend too much time around cats and both my girls have 2 each. I remember feeling like i was breathing through a straw sometimes. I hope the appointment goes well. Currently my Arthritis is bad especially my knees and neck, the cold i think. I wake up most mornings feeling like the tin man , every joint hurts but the biggest pain is in my foot, heal spur i think, had it for months and its bad right now, hobble hobble. We have a new bed coming today in the hope that i wont wake up sooo stiff, fingers crossed. Let us know how you get on.

I had to see my Surgery today for my regular diabetic check - it was an opportunity to say that the hospital keep cancelling my appointments for some reason and I haven't got to see my consultant for years?! Until TODAY. He was in the room with the diabetic doctor from my surgery. Words were exchanged (putting it mildly) and I am now going to be going to my doctors instead of the hospital! Halleluja is all I can say, got them to chase up my eye appointments too?!
Take it easy on yourself Marianne, dont stress yourself out sending you well wishes and hope you got on ok with the assessment x

I woke up the same, my allergies are playing up which means my asthma does. But I am off on a weekend retreat today so hopefully some rest will help.
