Hi Folks, Some of you may keep Lutinos! , I kept them when i fist started some 20 odd years ago, always a favourite. , question is do you find them to be late developers, in maturing! compared to the other varieties, glad to say i have returned to this wonderful hobby, and have just required some Lutinos of my own. , would be grateful for your thoughts on this subject, or if you agree that they take that bit longer to reach there full potential. Regards.........Ben. Hi Ben i have kept ino's for sometime now and yes they are deffinately behind other varieties as reguards developement,i have a young hen that caught my eye in the flight yesterday which when i looked at it's ring number turned out to be one that i couldnt give away 3 months ago it's turned out to be one of the best of this years birds,so dont be in any hurry to sell youngsters

Hi Ben, Regarding Lutinos, there is a good article on Gerald Binks website by Lutino Specialist Ian Fordham. Has to do with those full spectrum lights affecting their eyes. Good luck.

What did Ian Fordham mean by develop/mature at 15 months? Is it about breeding age?

So by full potential, you mean in terms of feathers etc for showing or something else?

Do you find them difficult to improve, we had them a few years ago and had no luck as the youngsters were no better than the parents.Do you find they improve as normals do.Allan
