Wow that is beautiful! They are very lucky budgies, I cant imagine what 24 budgies sound like...pretty noisy tuneful I imagine! They are not to noisy, i love there songs, sounds they make. I have one love bird in with the budgies and he is was noisier on his own than all the budgies put together!!I'm no expert on lovebirds, but I understood you can't keep them with budgies as they can get very aggressive over territory. BudgiesBuddy keeps both so knows a bit more about it.

I have had a pair of Love birds in the aviary with my budgies for a few years. Never had any problems. I don't colony breed so they have no need to fight over nesting. I am understocked on numbers that my aviary can hold so there is enough room for them to happily live. His mate died over a year ago and he seems to be very friendly to one of my female budgies lol I keep a good eye on them and will take him out if i ever need to.

In this case, it can be a different specie or they were out numbered by the budgies.

I have heard many horrible stories about how Lovebirds killed budgies. Although Lovebirds came later, but still are aggressive and I can't think of putting mine like this because they will kill the budgies in no time. Being heavily outnumbered, must be the case here. However, it is a first for me

Was this Rosy-faced Lovebird ever together with Black-masked Lovebird which died? No the Peach face and Masked were never together. We had a pair of Masked Love birds for two years in with the budgies and one died so i gave the other away to a friend. Then about 6 months ago another friend gave us the peach face. They had a pair of peach face lovebirds in a cage in there house for 3 years then one of them died, they keept the other peach face for another year then gave it to us about 6 months ago because they thought he was lonely. I dont realy like the lovebirds but i couldnt say no when they asked if i would take it and put it in my aviary
I have never had any injury to the budgies, but if i ever saw the lovebird being aggressive i would remove him straight away for good. My budgies are more important than the lovebird.
