Does any one of you know what is a "Common House Gecko"? Well we have a small one in the house . Let me share a short story with u first: several years ago, my bro owned a pair of birds (don't remember the species), anyway they died several days later. After asking for the reasons, there was a chance that it is a gecko. So here is the questions: well the gecko kill my budgies?

I don't see how the geckos would kill the birds! unless the gecko was carry a disease or virus that killed the birds x

Hello me again, welcome to the forum. As far as I know a gecko is a lizard and as such may take on a budgie. Wheter it would kill a budgie I don't know. But I don't think lizards and budgies go together. Hopefully I am wrong.

As far as I know geckos are too small to eat birds, they are insectivores unless the ones where you live are different to the ones we keep as pets.

We have geckos all through our house and always have. I really don't think geckos would have been the cause of your bro's birds' death. Hope this goes some way to allaying your fears. My birds have on occasions shared their cage with all sorts of insects, just recently being a stick insect. Neither the budgies or the insects seem to mind, in fact Mr Stick took quite a lot of persuasion to give up his perch.

We had gecko's in Singapore, harmless cute little creatures, don't think they're harmful to budgies.

They will eat chicks and baby mice if given the opportunity.
