Sorry, I couldn't find where I had posted thus before, where Bailey keeps leaning forward. I went straight out from work yesterday so only home about 10pm
bailey seemed agitated but first time, since that last time, he was leaning forward, looking like he might fall. Then this morning, all his overnight poops were loose, as on the perch below where he had slept. Also looks like he has titchy wet vent or a loose bit stuck. He is fine in himself. I will keep an eye on poops, but I wonder if the two connected and he is just tad under the weather with the unsteady bit and poops
he does get loose ones at times, but this seems a bit longer a time. I have added vitamins to his water and see how he goes.
Am am I better adding a bit of GA or just seeing if clears up?

Add the Guardian Angel now, not later. Whenever you feel something isn't right, you need to do something straight away. If it's nothing, you've done no harm. Make sure he's warm too.
Stop feeding any fruit and vege, only seed, millet and water too.

Not used it before. Should there be black specks in it, or anything other than white powder?

Just had a look at mine ffiscool, and there are black specks in mine also. So it's fine.

Bailey was edgy and wobbling again. I now think it's when he is tired. I am going to keep a note. Friday I was out from 6.20am til 10pm.
Today I was out early but home decent time. But he was fine til about 9pm.
If that is the case I am not sure of the answer as I don't have a spare room nor a TV anywhere other Ryan the lounge where he is.
Droppings are normal. It's odd

I have two hens that do this, they lean over to the point of neally falling off then flap their wings a little to right themselves and then start again. I have no idea what it is, i have just bred from one to see if its heredity.Of the 15 she bred none seem to have it, but they are still young i will keep my eye on them.

That's Very interesting. It's exactly the same. Bailey only started doing it a few months ago. Then it stopped for weeks.
It will be interesting indeed to see if hereditary. I wonder what makes them do it. B was checked for any lumps etc and nothing obvious showed.

Such as after having a couple of clutches close together? ? I doubt you would let your hens become depleted .......... wonder if this could be Bailey's problem ...................

ooh, that would also be interesting.. IF it is, would he need a separate calcium supplement or what would I do to increase it?

Does Bailey eat those little white balls that are in Trill seed mix? Does he nibble on his cuttle bone? If the answer to either is yes then he should be getting the supply he needs. However it was discussed about UV light and the budgies ability to maintain levels of calcium or certain minerals to do with calcium. I'll see if I can find the thread and post a link to it.

yes! thanks, I will sort it out and get him with the bulb on.
Also, something I read about if they are in artificial light for a long time, which he is.. isnt it something to do with them getting their days and nights mixed or not getting the right amount of sleep, even if they do sleep in the day? i know that sounds rambling, but trying to remember what it was I saw
