What lovely additions you have there, Learner. And while I do like Lottie, I have a real soft spot for the pieds. Plus they are still babies.

Thank you for sharing pictures, I couldn't wait to see them! Could Lottie a DF yellow? Suppose it depends on what her cere would look like after breeding condition but they are all certainly beautiful buds!

Suppose it depends on what her cere would look like after breeding condition but they are all certainly beautiful buds! Lottie may well be a DF yellow... unfortunately I haven't a clue what one of those is. I must admit I said "lutino" as a stab in the dark.. She is all yellow, has white "spots" (cheek thingy feathers) and the same coloured legs as the other two - pink. Her eyes are the normal dark black/brown. The only place where her colour varies slightly is the flight feathers - these are a paler lighter lemon - not quite as yellow as the rest of her. "DF yellow" is nothing to do with daffodils is it?

Hang on a minute DF = Dark Factor?
That sounds familiar but doesn't, to be honest, leave me hugely much the wiser.

I would say then that Lottie IS a double factor yellow as she has dark eyes - if she were a Lutino she would have Plum coloured eyes Confused yet?

Does she have red eyes,if yes ino, no DF spangle. PS. DF typed like this is double factor, df typed like this dark factor. You can have all sorts DF, dom pieds 4 example double up on them an you create a bird that looks like a rec pied.

I love the photos of the twins. They are very close indeed. I did chuckle when I read the conversation. Going in for one and coming out with three more beaks to care for How many does that take your budgie total to now?
