I live on the south-east coast and I've never seen it. I've spent a lot of time looking for weeds as I feed them to a lot of my pets. In fact there is only one of my 22 pets that shouldn't in theory eat weeds, the dog, and even he does given the chance. You have 22 pets.....now then, you either live in a zoo, a mansion or your pets are tiny.....or if my memory serves me correctly you have spiders, snakes and other err.....unusual 'pets' ......if I've got that right....what do you feed to your snake? I don't have spiders or snakes. One lizard and 2 tortoises are the only "reptiles" I have. I have 10 budgies, 2 cockateils, 3 parrots 3 chickens, 2 guinea pigs and a dog. Oh sorry, that makes 24.

Feel very silly now, I have just done some research on Milkthistle and you can buy it from chemists and pharmacy's! And it is a thistle itself when grown (dur) Very useful for tummy upsets and weight loss (apparently)

Mind you wash your hands well when picking dandelions, and, keep your fingers out of your mouth. They will make you wet the bed. That's what my mother always told me.

It would be nice to see pictures of them all starlingqueen. Don't know how you cope with them all, mine run me ragged some days, and I've only got 2 budgies

The bearded dragon is a sweetheart, they all are generally. Very placid and docile. I forgot t tell you the Conure, the one standing on the glass, is called Merlin. I'll have t post up to date pictures of my budgie flock. They are, Echo, Titch, Basil, Larry, Tweedle, Jasper, Sorbet, the boys and Phoebe, Opal and Citrine, the girls.

Is that the same bird that's lying beside Teddy, he looks a different colour.

Not dandelion but more thistle...
My rabbits (when I was a child) loved sow-thistle. I was wondering if anyone had tried this as a budgie snack?
Garden Organic - smooth sow thistle - link
I have the odd few growing around the veg patch where as the chickweed season is just about over.

Do the other 'parrots' live as long as they do? Wonderful....bit like Noah's ark.....well...sort of

That took me back a bit OP - yes I remember my mam saying that too, though dear knows why...we lived in the middle of Newcastle, not many weeds never mind flowers there then
