Hi everyone! This morning I brought home a little friend and I'd love to hear your thoughts... male or female? Thank you and nice to meet you all, MissKeet

Also curious as to what color variation you would call this... is this a lutino?

I think he's male. It's a bit fiddly distinguishing between ino birds and a few other varieties. If Lutino, the cere stays that pinky, purple colour even when an adult, I believe.

I would have said male if not for the questionable genetics. Does your cutie have red/pinky eyes? If not, it's not a lutino. That much I know.

I think your bird is either a dark eyed clear or a double factor spangle (leaning more towards the clear due to the foot colour but it's hard to tell at this age, at least it is for me). You'll be able to tell once your bird has moulted. A double factor spangle will develop iris rings (unless the mutation is split for recessive pied) but a dark eyed clear won't.
In either case, seeing as the lutino has been ruled out, I'm going to guess at your birdie being a male.
