Hi when i was in the kitchen oe of my cats pulled out two of willow's tail feathers through his cage. He flapped around his cage a bit afterwards but seems to have settled down. I have covered his cage will he be ok?

Yes he will be ok as long as you keep the cat away from him. Just keep an eye on him.

Unfortunately that is the nature of cats. They are hunters and will hunt. My daughter is desperate for a cat but with 15 birds I just wouldn't dare have one. We had one that was very old and disabled when we had only 3 birds but they were kept out of the same room as him and well up out of his way as he couldn't jump.

Are you able to keep the cats out of the room where Willow is? This would be the best solution.

Cats climb.....oh dear......Please try and keep them apart, budgie's health and personality may be affected.

I do hope this works out for you. I bet the poor little fellow did get a fright - spend as much time as you can with him so he does settle down and feel safe again.

Maybe the cat(s) should be locked in the bedroom so you can spend time with the budgie. He may feel he is being punished for being in the way.
