skysmum. There's also the facility to quote several people in one go. If you look under the cog symbol on the far right, there's a button that says 'select post'. Do that for each post you want to quote and reply to, all within one single reply post.

To like something you click the thumbs up on the right of the screen. Not sure if I do know what you mean for the other bit. If you want to tag someone, that is have their name in the post so they get a notification, the you put the @ symbol before their name without a space. If you want to quote more than one person in the same post you click the cog next to the thumbs up and select the option that says select post, you can do that on several posts then the last one you want to have in your post you click the quote button also on the right the other side of the thumb.and all the posts you selected will appear then you make your post under them. Hope that makes sense. Oh if you just want to quote one person just hit the quote button. skysmum. There's also the facility to quote several people in one go. That's a much simpler way of putting it than I did.

When 'tagging' someone you need to spell the name exactly, stace as Stace and stace are different.

Jeez!!!! I'll need to read this a few times to get to grips with it myself, I know how to do the LIKE skysmum, but the rest of it is double Dutch to me, thanks for highlighting it though, cause I've often wondered how others did it, but didn't like to ask.

I found that if I did @op I got @op in the post. But if I did @OP I @op in the post. Did you try it with other names Hezz, or just your own like Hezz? Now that is odd because your name is adjusted to your logon name.

It is complicated by the fact that if I put @HEZZ in the post like this Hezz it gets converted to your logon name, Whereas before if I typed @HEZZ I would get @HEZZ .

I am so glad you asked the question skysmum, as I didn't know how to quote several people in the same post, now I do. Aren't we funny people, not being brave enough to ask the most obvious questions?

OK. I have just realized that I am getting my 'Tags' and 'notifications' in a twist. Thank you starlingqueen. That should give you a notification that I mentioned you in a post. This starlingqueen tags your name and can be pointed to within the post. The same as a link really. Ask me about html markup, php script and the like and I can tell you most things. bbcode is something else. I not too old to learn.

I'm in a twist with it all OP, what are "Tags" & "Notifications" and how do you get the persons name in the post to turn BLUE. I knew how to do the LIKE, and I followed how to do the multiple posts.

To get the persons name to turn blue you put the @ symbol in front without a space. Hold your mouse over their name above their avatar and it will show you what their tag is. The tag is the blue name, basically you are attaching or tagging the person to your post.

Here goes: When a member does a like on your post you get a "Notification" in you profile. When a member mentions your name in a post (spelt exactly as in your avatar) you will get a "Notification" that they have done so. When a member "tags" your membership name, not your logon name, it turns blue in the post and links to your profile. That as far as know is all there is to it. I hope that makes sense.
