Oh..eek thanks or the advice on the nail file perch! I wont use it then, he does have a natural wood swing, a couple of branches as well as his plastic perch, he mainly uses the wooden branches.. so that's fine to just leave him for now then, he runs about quite the thing on the wooden floors, carpets, couches His beak is fine, he gets stuck into the cuttlebone The weather is brightening up so I will try and get him for a check up anyway soon :)He is enjoying some strawberries just now..lol tempted to wipe his beak..it is funny Vampire budgie look! He can get into the cage himself now with out a showing..lol..however he decided 6 hours was a good outing before the hunger set in..meh budgie kids

Wish I could get mine to eat fruit.. they are terrified of scary strawberries.. Hehe scary strawberries..I think Pascal only tried them because he saw his favourite human (my 6 year old daughter) Stuff them into her gub..its his favourite..it is weird though when you put a whole one on a stick into the cage..he will dance in front of it before he sinks the beak into it... He is not a fan of any lettuce..yet..he does tend to go to the other side if it invades the fresh food area Green beans are so, so he will have a fight with it..not sure he is eating it..He did like the egg I gave him..put a bit of carrot in there..thanks to your recipe for the moulting..he seems to be over it now..no feathers have been shed today, and he is not being too fussy with the preen

Basil is a lot yummier I suppose I do have a fresh sprig of mint in the fridge..I had visions of cous cous, mint and lemon yesterday..(meh IBS human problems..grr)they are pretty pungent, not sure if the budgie will like mint..I think it might be too rich for a budgie with the oils, still to use Mr Google..don't they eat eucalyptus in the wild? I am no botanist so I will play safe till I am sure! Tomato we have tried that, I removed the seeds..nah he is not keen..doesn't like apple either..broccoli was fun for him cooked of course Banana...he did try but not keen..I think he likes a bit of firmness to get the beak into It is just like having a wee kid again..

Give him his veggies raw; the only that needs cooking is sweet potato ........ I don't know why that is.
