So, I guess rabbits are a popular pet in my town, as the local pet shop stocks a HUGE range of the Rosewood "Boredom Breaker" rabbit toys. A lot of them seem suitable for budgies and certainly my pair have had a lot of fun with them. The primary components seem to be seagrass, sissal and corn leaves, so I am assuming they are safe (they're meant to be chewed on by rabbits... my birds just pull them apart). Here are some I've had great success with: Carrot Patch SO much fun to pull apart. Rattles These get a darn good preening. They make a nice noisy rattle, too, which is always top fun for my pair -.- "Tree" Great out-of-cage perch. Loads to pick at too Anyone else used any of these? Or other non-budgie toys? The other great fav. for my birds are cat toys, just simple plastic with a bell or a rattle in

These look great, ping. Don't think I've seen them in shops but good to know about for something different. My buds have loofah toys that I think are meant for hamsters and also thin strips of bamboo.

Ping did you see a review on Amazon saying that these are glued together, even though non toxic someone said the glue looked like plastic.

Yes, I saw that but I've had a good pick at them and the glue is structural, inside the toy. It looks like regular hot glue to me. It might be a problem for a gnawing animal like a rabbit or a rat, as they might chew down to that layer, maybe? For birds they just pull apart the sisal strands and grass leaves.
