I don't think a vet could do any more than you are doing, really. The best you might be able to get from a vet is a reason why, which may or may not be of any help. That's what I thought Hezz. I think they may be inclined to recommend euthanasia too. Which isn't going to happen unless I feel she is suffering. At the moment she seems to be happy with her lot. That is really great to hear.

I thought that as well, but knew you wouldn't let that happen to her "just because".

I agree with Hezz, no vet can do any more than what you are doing.

Thought you all might like to see Ditto having some fun. This is her in her play room AKA a shoe box. She seems to have such a zest for life.

Oh she is such a little cutie and seems so happy and contented. You are such a good mum. She is obviously enjoying life. Does she chirp and cheep?

She climbs up her ladder so she can see us then she chirps to get our attention. She also makes a little noise like she's quacking, very odd, not like any of the other buds.

Brilliant, as she has never known anything different this life must seem normal to her. She just looks so happy and contented, I believe things happen for a reason and she was meant for you and your wonderful family, even though a little sad for her, but she does have a life thanks to you.

She has a little "fly" too. We have found that if we hold her in a certain way, 2 fingers on her back, between her wings and thumb underneath then walk briskly up and down the room, she flaps her wings like she's flying. My son takes her for a fly every day.

Fantastic, SQ! That certainly is a cheeky look she gave you right at the end there. How lovely for her to be trying her wings, as well. She certainly looks happy enough.

Ditto is so enjoying her life. And I bet she loves her "fly" with your son. She is such a pretty little girl. Her life seems very normal to her.

Ditto has been on a mission today. Seek and destroy. First she visited me. She climbs up her ladder and tweets until I talk to her. Then she decided to tear up some newspaper. She's looking very scruffy, going through her first moult. That wasn't enough so she moved to another area and is still at it now. A little video.

That is wonderful to see. You have done marvelous with. She is not letting her disability get in the way.
