So you think you need to rig up some sort of bungee chord for her? Besides elastic or something similar, I can't think how you could harness her so she didn't wriggle out. It would need to be rather tight to stop that from happening ........ I wish I were creative in that sort of way. Hmmmmmmm

I wear an ordinary soft glove when clipping Jo and Freddy's claws this enables me to feel them without hurting them but if they latch on its usually just the glove that gets it, i keep the other hand free for the clippers. They can bite hard when i first handle them and i think its just panic because neither can fly they feel so vulnerable, once they settle they are ok though. A normal thin glove wouldn't work with Ditto, she just constantly chews so easily bites through a thin glove. I'll have to video her having her physio so you can see how ferocious she is. It's not nasty biting just constant chewing and she doesn't seem stressed at all, it's quite relaxed. How about these www.screwfix.com/p/keep-safe-cut-resistant-kevlar-gloves-cream-large/56956

I thought I would make another video similar to the first one so we can compare them to see if there has been any change. Let me know what you think. She takes a it of time to warm up at first. Have a look at the leg action, the right one is the stiff one.

There is definite improvement. Small but it is improved. I feel she will eventually learn to work with her disability. You are doing a fantastic job there.

I can definitely see, to my untrained eye, that her left leg is improving. She still seems bothered with her right leg, frustration or tingling. You can tell she has more energy too.

I agree, she is certainly making some use of that left leg, whereas before it seemed she was only wriggling along like a worm. I never thought you would see any progress this quickly, so that is fantastic!

Yes SQ I can definitely see improvement too in the left leg. I like the way she keeps telling you off!! You are making her work hard, but all to her gain.

This little bird is amazing me more every day. I don't mind admitting I didn't think she would ever improve but she is, and so quickly. Yesterday I spent some time massaging her little drumsticks and for the first time she actually stopped biting the glove, not only that, she fell asleep in my hand. Here is a video of her physio routine. You can see her stop biting and relax when I'm massaging her. Then today, she stood up. I tried to get a picture but it's very blurred, the best I could do as she has taken to jumping and flapping her wings. I have tried to video it for you but she is hard to pin down as she is so active now.

This is unbelievable Wendy. You are doing such a great job, not that that is unbelievable, its the progress little Ditto is making in such a short time. She obviously likes the massage bit of her treatment!!!! It's so great that you have the time and the patience to improve this little birds quality of life. She seems to have loads of energy, is she eating well? I look forward to your updates every day.

I switch between a piece of white millet and red millet each day and she has a little tray of seed. I give her millet as she can eat it more easily than seed on the floor. She also has veg, seeding grass yesterday, celery today and yesterday I shelled some sunflower seeds for her. She does lover her food. I have been putting feather up and guardian angel on her millet on alternate days, just a very light sprinkle, and also calcevit in her water. She'll be indestructible soon.

You best get another pair of gloves Wendy, as biting may get a bit more unbearable as Ditto gets stronger!!!
