Seems like they have their own agenda , i bet they are saying that confused her . The egg near to the front and the two to the left don't look quite right but then that could just be the light. Here's hoping for the introduction of No 4 bub tomorrow, fingers crossed again

Well this thread has taken an odd turn Just a quick update, well it's looking more and more likely that bub will be an only child. There are two more eggs left to hatch, one is due Tuesday and the other due Thursday. I'm not sure why the others haven't hatched, it's all very odd but bub is a little cutey so it helps. Here's a photo of him this afternoon, five days old today x

Lol!! There must be something in the air, Rachael ...... feel free to join in. Sorry about the rest of the eggs, but means you don't the worry of too many chicks for the room you have, and you do have one good healthy chick to swoon over.

Very true Hezz he's getting all my attention haha! Had a slightly odd moment last night, I checked on the nestbox and had to look twice because I could only see five eggs when there should've been six. I picked up bub to check he wasn't hiding it but nope one egg was missing. It turns out Peggy has eaten the first egg! Maybe she knew it wasn't going to hatch so got rid? All really baffling but I ended up swapping some of the non hatching eggs for marbles to stop her eating those too because I'm worried about her making herself ill. Going to check them this morning in a few minutes so hopefully everything is well.

I'm a little concerned over how fat his belly is haha! I think mum may be over feeding him but hopefully when he gets a bit older and starts flying he'll lose the chubby stomach. His little legs don't even touch the ground!
