We have always had budgies and when my husband died suddenly I found the house so quiet and lonely. I got Billy and he was my rock, someone in the house to chat to and interact, he certainly got me through a sad tough time, at 2 years old I found him dying in his cage ! I got to hold him and chat to him before he passed. I am devastated, he showed no sign of illness and had been chatting and wolf whistling the previous day. Fly high Billy xx

So sorry for the sad times you have had so recently, Kathy. Hopefully with time you will feel ready to welcome another little bud into your heart. They are all such different characters, and bring so much joy as you already know. Rest in Peace little Billy.
We are not Vets, Avian or otherwise. If you have any serious doubts about your budgies' health an appointment with an Avian vet should always be your first point of call.
A very sad time for you, Kathy. But I believe that Billy has met up with your husband and they are at peace together. I too hope that when the time is right, you welcome another little budgie into your life. They bring so much joy and laughter. Billy and your husband would like that.
I am so sorry for both of your sudden losses. It is very hard to understand life at times. Billy came along for you at the right time. I am sure you will find another budgie will also come along to help. They are special creatures.
