So glad he is feeling better. Such a relief for you and the family.
The long threads on the rope swing can be dangerous, they can eat, chew and pull them and get them caught around their necks. Best thing to do is cut the threads off as close to the knot as you can. The know will hold fine. I had to do this with one of my toys on the advice of others on here, so glad I did.

Glad Kiwi is doing better. Keep a close eye on him for the next week or so in case just in case he does relapse. suesbird's advice regarding the tassels on the swing etc is good - if you feel the knots will undo, put a cable tie pulled as tightly as you can just below the knot and then cut of the strings as close as possible to the cable tie.
