Hello budgie loving friends, just a little bizarre and incredible update on Teddy and his digibird. Since we got the digibird, Teddy has played with it about five times (for 5 mins a time roughly). During the last couple of times, we noticed he was head bopping less, and listening more and kissing it's beak. Today, we bought him a plastic budgie on a spring and attached it to his perch on the top of the cage - he loved it - and we got on with tidying the living room, when all of a sudden we heard the sound of the digibird. I said Jase (the other half) did you forget to turn off the digibird the other day? Then we realised that the sound of the digibird was coming from Teddy ... not only the tweeting sound, but also the head clicking sound! I mean an absolute replicate! We were totally dumbfounded. How on earth was he able to learn the song/sound after such brief meetings?! Not only this, he only made the sounds when confronted by a silent plastic budgie. Honestly, what amazing little creatures they are! Anyway, be warned if you let your budgie play with a digibird, you may end up with a real life digibird!!!

Teddy sounds a very clever little guy , trying to chat to his new buddie. Hope they are still friends We have a similar thing where you can record phrases, I thought it might have been a good idea when I had a budgie indoors. I thought the kids could play with it and try and teach our budgie to talk at the same time. The only problem was I used to hear them saying stuff like "daddy has a smelly bottom" to it :/ !
