iv given up now ryan.....after i put one of my lutino hens in with him ......and he wouldnt let her out of the nest box to feed ...ill try him again but this time with a bad lips albino hen..... they dont take any messing ...if that dont work ill forget breeding with him completely . It's a shame when things like that happen, im sure he'll "get the deed" done eventually. . i have him in with a albino hen at the mo but nothing going on ..ill give them a week then split them up if nothing going on...

Any luck Mick or have you really given up? iv given up BB.... ill wait till the longer warmer days ... they seem to prefer it then ...... i never had this trouble breeding my pet type budgies .....they would breed at a drop of a hat .... i like my show type budgies...but miss the pet ones...i might get some more pet type ones ....and sale off some of my show ones .... i dint like to have to many at one time...as i only have them for me ....not showing ....

Pet type budgies are very easy to keep and breed. Anyhow long warmer days, sounds good. Good luck

to give you a better chance of them breeding ,this is what i do ,i put the hen in breeding cage for 24 hours on own nestbox half full with shavings place the cock in day later i check the nest box for activity normally 3 to 4 days and nest box is empty if nestbox has been cleaned out or reworked i leave alone if no interest i block of nestbox for 48to72 hours ,open back up and normally within 5days thereis eggs in the nest box regards gerwynmr2
