Finished, enjoyed, very engaging story-line. A little warning regarding the punch-line and the need for a wipe-up ... Have you read any others of hers, jellybean?

Glad you enjoyed it Hezz. No not read anymore of hers so far. I'm reading one at the minute that I've had for quite a while and for some reason kept putting off reading it. It's really good so far, I'll update you when I've finished it, here it is:-

I was thumbing through the threads about books looking for something to read. I saw the posts about The House on Cold Hill by Peter James and thought I'd give it a read. I typically like to settle down for the evening and read in bed for a bit. I had to stop doing that with this book - its just too scary!!! I'm about half way through. It'll be an afternoon read for me. I do like it.

If you enjoy House on Cold Hill there's a follow-up, Secret of Cold Hill which I haven't read yet.
I've just read The Giver of Stars, Jojo Moyes which I can recommend. In fact, all of hers are good.

He does write a good book but not a fan of the "other world" ones. Not my scene at all.

Typical I wouldn't read a ghost story either but the description said it was good so I thought I'd give it a try. Even though its not my usual type of book, I'm glad I gave it a try. I do like his writing so I'll try another one of his when I'm finished this one.

I finished reading "The House on Cold Hill". I was hoping for a different happy ending. A friend just pick up a copy to read. He said that he read it will be made into a movie! I bet it will be popular. Not the type of movie I go see.

I have just read a lovely book. The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman.
I genuinely found it difficult to put down.
It's set in Australia and I got something in my eye at the end.
I've just found there's a film too so I've ordered the DVD.

I LOVED that book. I read it a few years ago. Heartbreaking.
It's one of those books that asks the question, "What would I do"

I also read that a couple of years ago and enjoyed it. I would recommend it to anyone. As jellybean says, makes you wonder what you'd do if you were one of the people in the story.

Absolutely, especially considering their circumstances.
