I am so sorry, @polishrose. Ziggy was a part of your family in that very sort time you had him and it is so sad that that time has been cut short. The blame game doesn't help anyone - I am not going there - accidents will always happen; otherwise we would not need the word. Sometimes we get away with making a mistake without tragic consequences; other times we, or someone else pays the ultimate price.
Rest in Peace sweet little Ziggy. xxx
We are not Vets, Avian or otherwise. If you have any serious doubts about your budgies' health an appointment with an Avian vet should always be your first point of call.
I just wanted to state that the original poster asked me to delete her account last night.
I'm not in the habit of upsetting people. But it's very upsetting to see the same thing happen with cats and budgies over and over again.
I sincerely hope that the lady and her family have a lovely Christmas, it's very hard to cope with the loss of our feathered ones.
Rest in peace little Ziggy.
I didn't want to upset anyone either I just wanted to make this lady see that the responsibility for this did not lay with her daughter. Sadly she didn't agree and her child will forever carry the guilt. RIP little feathered friend, you deserved so much more.
