They've got two swings, one mirror ladder and a treat holder with two bells (probably going to buy more treats too.) But yes I hope I find something they enjoy. I'm gonna be on the lookout for things they don't have to grab because I was watching him today and he can't seem to grab onto anything like he used to. He'd love to play with the small swing by grabbing hold of it with his foot and chewing on it which he can still do but only with his beak.

somethingigottause what about a budgie shredder of some sort that he can shred, requires his beak? my hen seems to have gone off shredding so I don't know for sure if he will use it but worth a go? Also does he have some perches to properly rest/support his feet? A flat perch/curved one would be good to have the pressure off. I'll find the links of what Minty had and get back to you so you can see what I mean!

As Becca has so rightly added, things to chew are essential. They might go on and off them, but like most things, they know when they need to give their beaks a bit of a work out. You can buy pieces of balsa wood for this, or plaited palm leaves; my birds always have some eucalyptus bark in the cage for them to shred.

All the above is lovely.
I don't think at least 1 light swinging toy would be harmful, it just might give him some exercise to his foot, and encourage him to use it.

Alright I've added those two links you've posted and will be getting them along with the flat natural perch. (I was only gonna get one perch anyway, so I won't be getting the box one.) The links for the toys I've posted in my last reply are available at the store so I should have them later today. I took a good photo of his foot today, not much difference though. I think he'll always have his "bad" leg positioned differently now. Who knows, we shall see. I hope the flat perch will help him out a bit. (Also that longish looking string in the photo is just one of his feathers. He's had it before his foot injury and sometimes I get worried seeing it since it is very string-like but it seems to be connected/grown from him.) postimg.org/image/wp1q6hz27/

An update: I'd say he's 95% done with his recovery. He's been climbing the cage bars a lot for the past three weeks and I think that sped up his recovery since he was exercising both legs. He can even use his "bad" leg to grab onto toys now, which I'm glad cause it was sad to watch him struggle when he was just trying to have fun. I know I've said lots of times before that there was still a difference when comparing his "bad" foot to his good foot and now they both look similar again. That said this will be my last post on this thread since it was for questioning on tips for his hurt foot and updates on how his foot is. Thanks for everyone's help along the way!!

deguchloe I just checked online and all I've found are ways that you yourself could make eucalyptus bark. Haven't found any sites to actually buy it. Maybe in your local store? I personally don't have any eucalyptus bark for them but I do have other different woods.
