What sort of temps are you expecting over the weekend, Gareth? If in doubt, it won't hurt everyone to be shut in for the weekend, rather than risk Woody out in the cold.

If you keep them in over the weekend you will mis-out on the pleasure of worrying.  It may be for the best to keep them in, they will enjoy the freedom when you return. |

Woody survived his weekend home alone but still hasn't learnt to go in with the others so back to putting him to bed at night. Dirty little stop out!!
We have another 6 eggs this time round too! Have candled them and looks like only 1, possibly 2 are fertile though. As long as its healthy I guess thats all that matters.

Glad the weekend went well from both aspects. I was going to ask how Woody was getting on. Thanks Hezz He is doing very well so far. He is quite spritely, inquisitive and very playful (like many young budgies I guess). He is slowly starting to muscle in with his dad and getting a bit more respect. It's all chilled out a little since mum is sitting on her new clutch. The bossy one is out of their way for a bit! I had put new food and water dishes all over the place so he wouldn't go without but he has found the big boys feeders now so all good. Hopefully he'll have a new brother or sister to play with soon |
