I am in tears, as well, clt80. That poor, poor little boy; he had so many health issues, but the heart of a lion. I felt I had come to know him in a small way from the issues you had had with his health, but regardless of how he might have been feeling, he did not give up, not without a fight. His time with you must have been such a blessing for the little fella, he knew you loved him, and I am sure he loved you. Goodbye sweet little Gene. Rest in peace, little Lionheart. xxxx

How can such tiny creatures tear at our hearts strings ....but.....because you rescued him, gave him tender loving care, he had a good life albeit short. Now he has no more pain and is flying high (I believe) in a wonderful place where time doesn't exist. Enjoying only good and perhaps...loads of millet God bless you for taking care of him as long as you could.

I am so sorry for your loss. Gene was such a cute looking budgie!
He definitely knew you loved him, he wouldn't jump onto your hands if he didn't. The story of his life made me teary but I was happy that he had known love before he passed away. Thank you for taking him in and giving him the best life that he could have.
RIP Little Gene xXx

I'm so sorry. I'm glad Gene had you and your husband to take care of him.
