I am sorry to hear about dear little Betty. At least she can live out her final days in as much comfort as possible.

Poor Betty. But as the others have said so long as she is happy and not showing signs of distress I would leave her be.

Thanks for kind words everyone Frank is fine Marianne, its been a tough one, i had to separate them because Frank was hassling her to get up, he kept pecking at her bless him, he couldn't understand why she was acting strange on the floor. I really didn't think she would make the next 24 hours tbh and here we are 11 days later. He has the company of Joe and Summer in the aviary, all be it in a separate section, he and Joe would fight over Summer if i put them together in that situation, if i bring him in Flora could attack Betty for his attentions. The world of Meeps is VERY complicated, you have to get the dynamics right otherwise its bedlam .

Poor Betty. I'm glad she's feeling better and still enjoying herself.
Your photos are lovely and I do enjoy reading about your gang.
Your mash looks very tasty. I see what my boys think of it. They tend to only go for veg clipped to the bars but I'll give it a try.

Poor Betty, but with your loving care, she is obviously doing the best she can bless her. So worrying when they get poorly, but I suppose 5yrs is a good age for a meep? So pleased to hear that Flora is now a budgie too!!!
I was talking to someone the other day about the meeps and I couldn't think of what they were actually called. Felt so silly referring to 'meeps'. They are all, and will always be meeps now, to me anyway, and they have loads of them in my local pet store!!

It is very complicated Jane . If you loose one it upsets the whole balance, fights break out and resource guarding kicks in, they will literally starve one by not allowing it feed if they want it out and you have to re think how to house them Sir B is getting back to his normal self samwiseg , down side is that his feather cyst came back up during the moult, it happened last time he moulted too so definitely a weak spot with that area. I'm keeping a close eye, it's not bothering him atm. Shirls , its the noise they make that gives them the nick name of Meeps, Meep Meep , some people refer to them as Zeebs too.

That is a great hiding place, Frank. skysmum, he is just helping to keep you fit and agile as you approach your dotage.
