I hope ninz doesnt mind me adding this. I made this last night for my babies nursery. I am going to do 2 more similar but one with a blue heart in the middle of the chest and another with a pink heart. Then hang the 3 in a row. I used metallic silver pen, a dark grey felt liner and a black fineliner. I also used little glitter dot stickers for the border. It was so relaxing to do and made me want to do a whole lot more with budgies, parrots and other animals. I forgot how much I loved drawing. I am knitting some blankets just now too! Course I don't mind!!! Anyone can join in and share, I love looking at them and just enjoying the talent! These are amazing. Can I ask please... did you have to copy the drawing or did you make it up? I always have to copy, I find it extremely hard to come up with something in my head. Children randomly will ask me, Miss draw a cat, draw a dog etc and I try but they never look as good as it would if I copied the drawing off the internet or something. I always add things to it to make it my own but need something to focus on. You could easily sell these, they look brilliant! It just shows that you do not have to be a fine artist to be crafty, you just have to play around, practise and try!! People put themselves down before they have even lifted a pencil Thank you for sharing!!

The outline is actually adapted from a tattoo! The inside pattern is just made up in my head. I've drawn loads more since, butterflies, bears, elephants. Im plannimg on selling them online and at fairs once my babies are born (which I thought was happening today as just out of hospital!) Will help with bills.
But I have 3 owls for their room!
The blankets however are not going to plan. My bump is getting in the way of the knitting machine. So ive reverted to making pom poms and going to sew them into a big pom pom blanket. May take half a year to make about 1000 poms but I am determined!!

Secondly, I think it is great that you are going to sell some of your work, they look very professional. Knitting machine? I never knew there was such a thing. I hand knit which takes me forever to do. I need a knitting machine! Go you with the pom poms! I hope you will have time after the babies are born??

Not sure if anyone would regard it as artwork but I thought I'd post it here. I have a pre-wedding function coming up next week. Totally feeling the butterflies now!! Wedding bouquet will be roses and white flowers. I was doing to get fresh flowers but I can't be asked to spend so much money so I've gone for plastic hand made ones. The pre-wedding function is the henna night where the bride gets her henna done. It's kind of like the Western idea of the hen do but without the alcohol This is the bouquet I wrapped today. Does it look tacky?? Mind you, my cultural functions are quite blingy

That's beautiful Nina. Not 'tacky' at all. I love the way you have 'bound' the stems. Please can we see some of your wedding photo's when you have them? I would, and I'm sure other members would love to see some too. Remind me of the date of your wedding, I know it is very soon now.

Eeek I really don't like photos but the family demanded that there was a photographer and videographer all throughout the day. Gosh... Ok so the henna night or what we called the Mehndi (henna in my language) is on the 11th August. The wedding is on the 14th August. It's so soon and I'm already feeling funny. Just hope it all goes smoothly. My in-laws are not so nice people They're quite..... racist! Sadly people like them do exist and Ziyad agrees with me on this, they don't like me much because I am from a different country to Ziyad and I am darker skinned compared to Ziyad. I also eat different foods. Since when did we have to be Mexicans to eat Mexican food, since when did we have to be Chinese to eat sushi? Ziyad always said that had they given me a chance to get to know me, they would've liked me. Nevermind, it's a battle I will never win but as long as they don't ruin it for us, everything should be fine. My family and relatives adore him so he will fit right in! I will just for you all post some wedding photos. I will be shrieking as I post the photos and will turn a blind eye to them too I'm just not a photogenic person. My eyes are usually closed or they click at the wrong time and I have a funny face.
