Sorry I was ahead of myself there. All it is is a copy of the text copied onto a layer behind the text. Then it is made all black and blurred slightly. You then move the layer you just mad slightly to the right and slightly down. If all that is mumbo jumbo I would not be surprised. It would take an advanced class on graphics applications to mean anything.

Yes, I understand what you mean, whether I can apply it now to my banner is something else. I will have a go. I like a challenge!!

Yes, that is the sort of thing, but the shadow needs to be less intense. You can achieve that by decreasing its opacity so the it looks less black. Maybe lessen the amount of movement of the shadow layer. It also looks more natural if you move the shadow to the right and down, or move the text up and left. That is looking good so far.

It would be lovely if a few more people could make banners as only about 3 people have entered (those banners are lovely by the way!)
We only have 5 more days to go!
Come on everyone, if you win, your banner will be at the top of the forum for 3 months. Fame at last!
We need a Forum banner with a Summer-inspired theme, With the following criteria:
size: 1000 x 255 pixels (or more, but must keep to the same dimensions) format: jpeg, jpg, png or gif
Must have the words "Budgerigars forum" in large legible letters. and the phrase: "a friendly and informative forum for budgerigar owners, breeders and exhibitors."
Entries are limited to three banners per person. Closing date is Friday 10th of June 2016 with voting to commence the next day.
Click here, for Sams Magnificent tutorial!

Sorry, I have tried and better tried, but I just cannot make anything that I would like to see at the head of the forum. In fact I would like to see a finished one. So frustrating. Aaaargh!

Thanks sweetpea. Marshall looks a bit frightened He does! Though it's not really surprising with a great green ring round his poor littl neck ...
