Hi Hezz OP & samwiseg , he does say 'It's not easy' I've been teaching him 'It's not easy being green' & that is the first time I've heard him say it, he splices it with 'baby bird' I think I can hear him say 'being green' somewhere in there too. He's such a lovely tame active boy & so quick to learn, or is he just normal? He says 'lovely boy' & 'pretty boy' & 'come on then' too. So, is the verdict a boy? I really don't mind what he is, although we've always referred to him as a he, he is what he is & I couldn't ask for a more lovely budgie. You just can't help laughing when he hangs upside down in front of your eyes, or wants to have a pick of your nose. Personally I love to kiss him & feel him all warm & soft. We are on holiday in Ireland at the moment & he is here with us & has taken it all in his stride. Absolutely lovely little bird.x

I am pretty sure he is actually a he. He does sound like a delight; half bud half human, if I had my guess. Single birds are often like that. "Being green" could well have been what I couldn't make out after "it's not easy".

Thank you samwiseg, he's a funny sort of colouring which I've got used to now and don't notice. I gave up trying to find out what he was amongst the dizzying amount of permutations.

I remember looking into this a year or two ago as I do have one of these perches and I'd really loved to have got another but I have a horrible feeling the company who made them must have gone out of business ...

I know! They're such a wonderful idea - surely every sane budgie-owner would want at least one. Anyone know anyone in the plastics industry who might like to try re-creating them?

When I click on the link sweetpea it says the page is not there? It worked for me just now. Can you go to the natural bird company website & click on new creations?
