I'm sorry for your loss sweetpea. Such a lovely boy who obviously trusted and loved you very much as not a lot of birds would let you stroke them in that way.
He is the only bird I've ever had who has let me stroke his feathers. And he really liked it, tilting his head to let me know which bit to do. He would preen my finger, regurgitate to me & of course jiggy-jiggy on my right hand. It was probably the best relationship I've ever had, & I'm including humans in that.
Nooo! Not dear, naughty Phinny. Did I miss something, sweetpea? Had he been sick, at all??? I hope that doesn't sound rude; I really didn't expect this, is all. I am so terribly sorry. He was such a larrikin of a bird, but I am sure he will be keeping all the heavenly buds entertained in typical Phinny fashion.
Rest in peace, dear little man; we will all miss you, miss hearing about you and your naughty ways. Hugs and thinking of you, sweetpea. xxxx
We are not Vets, Avian or otherwise. If you have any serious doubts about your budgies' health an appointment with an Avian vet should always be your first point of call.
What a lovely tribute to him - he was certainly a gorgeous boy Am so so sorry for your loss sweetpea take comfort that he would not be suffering in any way and he had the best life with you - you were the only one who understood him and could care for him the best way xx
Not forgetting Monty ✶ Pippin ✶ Alfie ✶ Barney ✶ Sir Wiggy ✶ Kipling ✶ Marley
I'm absolutely gutted to learn that Phinny has passed. He was the most charismatic little budgie and his bond with you, sweetpea, was clear for all to see. Such a quirky and sweet-natured bird to let you stroke him like that. I'm so sorry.
