Budgies don't need a bath in their cage all the time; they need to be given the opportunity to perhaps on a weekly basis, but leaving it in the cage all the time is just a receptacle for poop.
A shallow amount of water in a pie dish, perhaps with a sprig of something green is all you need.

Don't forget that birds tend to fly horizontally rather than vertically, when you eventually buy your cage.

Don't forget that birds tend to fly horizontally rather than vertically, when you eventually buy your cage. The cage is tall but wide aswell so they'll have perches at top level, middle level and lower levels they'll be getting plenty of toys on the higher level so they can play and have room to fly around on other levels aswell plus they'll be having an hour or more a day outside the cage with a play stand on top of the cage so they'll never get bored or lack time to spread their wings i want my birds to be healthy and socialable and interact well in my home. 😊

So its easier to hook on and off daily saves having to keep opening the cage door all the time Would the cage door not need to be open so that you could hang the bath inside, and if the bath was outside would the cage door not need to be open to allow the birds to use it, or have I misunderstood this.

That's something I hadn't thought of when I bought the bath they have now, it's big compared to the old one they used to have that did fit on the side of their old cage. This one has to go inside, it's a good one just takes up a fair bit of room. Depends where you put it but wouldn't fit on the outside of their new cage! www.gardenfeathers.co.uk/bird-baths/bird-bath-with-wire-top.html
