Continuing from the posts in skysmum's blog. I have done a little research and come up with this advice in another forum. So if anyone is NOT seeing images that have been uploaded to Postimage.org then this may be your answer. Unfortunately I haven't found a way round this yet. I have a rather important appointment today and I will not be able to see for at least another day after. I will try after that.

Thanks for that info OP I guess that the person must have some kind of safe list that they can add the post image address to or something. Good luck with your eye appointment.

OP got me curious so I had a look for you all whilst he is temporarily absent and found this on the Firefox Support website: "You may have modified one of your Firefox preference settings which is causing images not to show. You can either reset all preferences or else try the following:" - In the address bar, type about:config and press Enter.
- The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear. Click "I accept the risk!" to continue to the about:config page.
- Find browser.display.use_document_colors in the list of preferences. It should be set to true by default.
Right-click on the preference if its value has been set to false and select Reset.
Dont know if that may sort the problem, will check with Kaspersky as well if there is a "safe list" as Marianne Marlow has suggested

This is worth a read if you use Kaspersky Internet Security Shirlswww.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1208567It seems that you are not on your own Post edit a member quotes this: Open Kaspersky, click on "settings", go to the tab "web antivirus" and then de-select "Enable Web Antivirus"
This fixed the issue for me. The images are now fully loading in chrome and firefox.
I dont know if it poses a security risk though. Frankly I am relieved that the images are loading and I am not going to buy Kaspersky again.
Hope this helps.

Thank you for taking over the helm samwiseg. It certainly looks promising. What a farce the system is turning into. I had what they called a virtual clinic. This means they do all the prep stuff including the eye scan. The ophthalmologist will inspect the scans and other tests and decide that I really do nee injections. I will then have to go back to the hospital for that part of the clinic. If I lived on the doorstep that would be fine, but I don't. It's only a 9 mile journey as the crow flies but by road it's nearer 20 miles. Not only that but I cannot guarantee transport each and every time. The times I don't have private transport I have to use public transport aka the bus. That is a nightmare in itself. It is a three bus journey with the obligatory connections. So for a 1 hour round trip by car it now turns into a six hour round trip by bus. Just what one needs after being poked in both eyes with a sharp stick. Arrgh! Sorry I just had to have a moan. Needless to say I will have difficulty doing any research on the not showing image project. I just hope that Sam has found the answer.

Thank you samwiseg. I feel better than I did when I got home and right up until I went to bed (early). I'm back where I was before I went, i.e. no dilated pupils, but I can't see any better either. Hopefully it won't be long before I go back for the rest of the job doing. How are you with your thyroid problem?

Aww I so sympathise with you OP - it must be an awful experience for you *hugs* x Thank you for asking about my thyroid - am waiting to go to my GP to get him to refer me to my Endocrinologist as he has discharged me before sorting me out?! As you say it is a complete farce Sorry I am ranting now!

You are quite welcome to have a rant samwiseg. I went to see one of those ologists as part of a number of tests my GP put me through. They seem the nicer of the ologists that I have seen, but I do think they are under-worked and probably over-paid as well. I hope you get seen to soon. Perhaps that should read sorted soon.

So sorry for your ordeal OP. It is dreadful how 'un-drivers' have to take so many buses to get to such necessay clinics/hospitals/doctors etc. Especially as you don't live that far away from where you need to get to. I really sympathise, it's no fun. I bet you were exhausted when you got home. Hope you feel loads better now. I have given up with the image showing thing now. It seems many people with Kaspersky have the same problem, not all can be fixed. It is only the odd picture I don't get so, it's no great problem really. Thank you samwiseg for researching and finding out what you did. Made very interesting reading too.

As it is Yesterday I didn't need to use the bus option as I had private transport both ways. Sorry for the confusion there. I was describing what the normal situation would be. Thank you for the well wishes. With regard to the image not showing problem, I find it odd that it is only certain images that you cannot view. Do you know if it is just images supplied by Postimage.com? I ask that because I have this nagging problem of when I go to view full sized images on Postimage.com I get a strip of ads down the right hand side of the page and a strip of ads across the bottom. As blockers don't work.
