Feeders - ideal for water and good for seed:
I bought three white plastic bases that are made to take up-turned jam-jars. The seed or water is placed into the glass jam-jar then the plastic base fits on top. Next you turn the whole lot over / right-way up and use the built in bit at the back to hook them onto a screw.
Unfortunately I haven't been able to find a link for them on the hinternet... I think I may have bought them from Haiths (seed merchants) but cannot find them on their site now.
The design is decades old as I had some when I was a teenager hence buying some again in the last couple of years as I knew they worked well. Trough at the front big enough to allow seeds to flow out and quite easily accessible by finches and budgies - would most likely work with larger seeds for conures.
I use mine to make sure there is lots of clean fresh water in summer time. I will keep searching for them online and post if I find them.

Learner, I did just that with the mesh joins - stitched them together with fine gauge wire; it worked really well. I have had to double mesh mine anyway- one mesh strong enough to prevent stronger beaks and jaws from breaking it, and one small enough to keep the snakes and mice out. It is actually called 'snake and mouse mesh'. Some patching might be required in the future if the white tailed rats decide they want in. skysmum, thank you again for your input. It seems that the lantern-style it will be, then. For the moment the hook-on pots will do, and I now have two bird "baths". One is a proper bird bath, quite shallow - that can be for the little boys. My other "bird bath" is actually a large dog's bowl. I already had a spare three-point chain to hang it by, and this hooks very neatly under the lip of the dog bowl. I thought it was quite clever. It should be big enough for Loki to bath in but not so deep as to cause a problem for him. Will have to get him to road-test it, as I have only just gotten the bowl. (Much cheaper than buying another bird bath).

Bird bath, #1 "Bird Bath" #2 If the chain is inclined to slip on the dog bowl, I can easily drip three holes into the outside part to take the hooks. It might not be as fancy as the other one, but a damn sight cheaper. So far Loki hasn't gone near either, so I don't know whether it will work or not.

Like both of those Hezz. Necessity is the mother of invention after all. I am trying to find a 'wild' bird feeder that doesn't spray all the seeds on the floor when the bird fies away. Chickens do clear them up, but I'd rather they didn't!

Impressed with the dog bowl being upcycled to a bath for Loki. Can just imagine him flapping about bathing in it.
Does he bathe in anything currently?

I'd never have thought about a dog bowl as a bird bath. Brilliant. We're all waiting on you taking a dip now Loki 😉

Loki loves a bath, or I should say a shower! I hop into the bath, turn the shower on and hold my hands in the water. He goes in and out of the water by going up and down my arms. He will stick his head completely in the spray, wings out-stretched and sit there like that for 5-10 seconds at a time. I usually move him out because I am scared he is going to drown!!! This must happen every day, and I undertand, very common with conures, or sunnies, anyway.

So you need a shower that he can operate Hezz. I'm sure he would soon get the idea of pulling a handle.
