starlingqueen I'm positive you will have a great experience with your new puppy. And, as Hezz says, each one is different and brings their own personalities and cuteness.
My choice not to own another dog was/is driven partly by circumstances. My German Shepherd / Alsatian was a re-homed dog brought home by my dad when I was a teenager. She had not been given a good start in life so responded well to an extra bit of attention and kindness. I had the time and we were almost in separable for years. I loved being out in the country-side almost as much as she did. She was patient and would sit quietly if I spotted a bird or insect I wanted to watch yet, in a second she'd be up and bounding when I was ready to move. Very obedient and intelligent and willing to learn and to please.
My parents went on to have a few more dogs... but I didn't regard any as mine then I left home for college.....then work.... then marriage (and a cat...or two) and children... and a cat... so the opportunity to try again with another dog hasn't arisen. I don't think, for me, it ever will.
BUT...... I am so eager to read about your adventures with a new puppy. I bet you are excited!!
Is everything ready??

Is everything ready?? Everything is in my Amazon basket waiting to be ordered. Because we weren't expecting him until June at the earliest I haven't got anything ready. I won't use Teddys stuff for him, that's all in a special box, so everything needs to be bought new.

Hope you have a lovely day tomorrow xx It's all up in the air at the moment. My Daughter, who is taking me to collect the pup, has had her taxi driving test moved to 1pm tomorrow. We are meant to be collecting the pup at that time and the woman goes to work at 3.30 It's all a bit tight now. Just trying to sort things out.

It's all sorted out. It's going to be tight but we can do it, just. It means me waiting in my daughters car with a baby and a puppy while she does her test, so it should be interesting.

Let’s hope both have a nap, whilst your waiting. Have you got a name or did I miss it?

Let’s hope both have a nap, whilst your waiting. Have you got a name or did I miss it? We are calling him Ursa Which is in memory of Teddy. It's latin for bear. Like the star constellations, Ursa Minor and Ursa Major, little bear and great bear. Teddy is my little star in the sky.

Just to clarify. My daughter, the one who has just earned her degree, is doing a verbal test for taxiing. She has already passed the driving test so I will be in her car waiting for her not in a car she is doing her test in. When she has passed all tests she will be taking children to and from school. That way she can stay at home for the majority of the day with her baby and still be earning money. Her degree will be used when Arlo goes to school.
