Whiskers has gone meet his friends over at Rainbow Bridge. This is a sad, sad day for me. Over four years he was with me. Always there. He showed no signs of being unwell. He was flying about all day yesterday. The one thing was last night I got no kissy, kiss at the bars on cover over time. He still did not look ill, but just stayed on his perch.
Rest in Peace Whiskers. We are all going to miss you.

I'm so sorry to hear that you've lost Whiskers, OP. It was so unexpected but at least he didn't suffer too much.

Thank you everyone. It really is hard this time round. As much as Joey was special and such a wrench when he passed away. Losing Whiskers is even harder. I didn't have much time to think about how he would be missed as I had to go do the weekly shopping and not much time to do it in. But now I have sat at the computer and read your heartfelt posts I do have time to reflect on what has happened. Goodbye Whiskers, thank you for the pleasure of knowing you.

I am so sorry, OP. Whiskers was one very special little bird. As already said, it leaves us rather befuddled and forlorn when these precious creatures leave us unexpectedly, but as it is as I would wish to depart this life, be thankful that was the way that Whiskers has left us. RIP Whiskers; have a great time over Rainbow Bridge. xx

It is so hard to think that just yesterday Whiskers was on my chest, clung to my T shirt and nibbling lips as he did on many occasion. There was Oscar flying around the pair of us, but never landing. Oscar had made a great pal of Whiskers and he would follow Whiskers all over the place. Oscar has been calling for quite a while but has stopped now.

Thank you starlingqueen and ffiscool. I don't mind saying it is tough. Oscar is definitely missing Whiskers. I keep seeing Oscar on the perch I used for keeping the dor open. That's where they would sit and chatter. He is now just sits there calling.. Kiwi is into making friends with Mildred so hasn't seemed to miss Whiskers. I don't know about Mildred as she just sort of put up with any one of them. I thin Mildred had a very mixed up past life and is just glad to be in a settled and friendly environment. To say that Oscar and Kiwi have only been with me since January, they seem to have settled in very well. They are both still very untamed and will not entertain my hand going near them. They have got used to me though. Thank you for asking ffiscool.
