There's a fair few Eucalyptus trees that grow in the UK, people buy them and don't realize how big and fast they grow, so asking for a few branches is usually met with a YES TAKE IT ALL!! lol Willow is the easiest for me to get here, it's coppiced every year so I get plenty of it. Ash is second, as I can usually walk the railway and find a young tree to get some greenwood from (growth under a year old, easy to strip for chicks) or just snap a thick older branch down for the adults. Apple is the next easiest, lots of orchards here that get pruned each year, nice green bark to strip. The Sycamore is last as most of the trees here are either huge and inaccessible unless branches drop in the wind, or they are still seedlings. I found an old set of photos of my lot on an old willow branch when it was "fresh" from the tree This was last year and I still have it now, albeit chewed, brown and dry now, lol!
