hi all is supermarket bought pine disinfectant suitable for use on cages, drinkers and food bowls if rinsed well before use?

I've used it on cage bases and bars but rinsed well, I've never used more than bog standard hot soapy water for drinkers and food pots, rised twice with boiling water from the kettle then cold.

thats handy i have plenty of milton in the house with a 1 year old baby, what ratio ian? as you would for babies bottle,the poultry shield i get from local seed suppliers,it's brilliant stuff for cleaning,just pour a drop into a bucket of hot water[don't use to much as it's soapy] and use for cleaning cages/walls/floors kills mite on contact and also keeps them away.

Around £18 for 5ltr concentrate,but u can buy smaller and also ready to use which is cheaper,but dont last as long, the 5ltr is best value and lasts ages.

And what is the concentration for F10SC for drinking water? That's not on my bottle.

1ml in 1 litre of water given for 3 consecutive days once weekly. Only if your birds have a problem and are not breeding.

I find there's lots and lots of stuff out there, just with everything, that will try and make you spend more money when you don't need to.
I'm not going to start wasting money on specific disinfectants for 'avaries, cages' and etc.
