An easier way to remove them is to cover them in vaseline. They breathe through their back so vaseline suffocates them and they drop off. I do it with hedgehogs that I find with tics. I probably would have done that Wendy but I didn't recognise it as a tic unfortunately!! Well they do look like a toc I suppose.

Nasty little critters, tics. My Grandad used to live at the side of a field and he was always finding them on the dogs. He used to burn them with the end of his cigarette. I don't think we should all take up smoking though to get rid of them. Glad Tuppence is feeling better Shirls.
