I wish I had the proper room for a decent bottlebrush. Too many rain forest trees around, so not enough sun (or space) to grow a good specimen. They just grow scraggly if they don't have the space. There are some small varieties, and even shrubs that I have been eying off recently.

Getting that time of year for Loki then Hezz? Yep, apparently so. When it is that time, he does this somersault thing, lifts one leg up and rolls over to one side, cuddles in, which is really cute and lovely, but then along come these little pinch-like nips that are really not cute and lovely. Once Miss Froggy has .. ummm .. eased that itch, he seems happy enough to snuggle in in his regular way. Good Miss Froggy!

For sure; he only gets head scratches anyway (lurves head rubs), although he does seem to think it is okay to nip me anywhere! While he is on his back, he even nips his own foot sometimes when it is waving around in the air. Honestly!!!

Just catching up on threads.... I don't mean to crash Loki's thread but just wanted to ask Hezz as you mentioned dog walks, how is your dog these days? Last year if I remember rightly he had bad anxiety?

Just catching up on threads.... I don't mean to crash Loki's thread but just wanted to ask Hezz as you mentioned dog walks, how is your dog these days? Last year if I remember rightly he had bad anxiety? That's right, clt80, he does, and is still on meds which seem to be working fairly well. We have had to adjust our expectations of him over time and that continues, such as suddenly deciding that he won't sit down the front of the house anymore without constantly barking at all and any imagined thing in the neighbourhood - people going about their daily business etc. I was concerned over how we, he and I, were going to cope this week as it is the first week for over 12 months when there hasn't been someone at home for at least part of the day, but so far so good. He has never been a dog that ran around madly during the day, always a bit of a lazy lump in true lab style, and the Prozac allows him to do this again. He also seems to have gotten past all most of the issues we were having of him running off, not coming when called etc. I think he is happier, we certainly are, there is still some odd behaviour, but manageable.

That's great to read, I'm so glad he is doing better both for him and also for you and your family.
