Hello,
This is my first post here and I am hoping to find a good home for my Mum's budgies. Mum is now in a care home and as much as I would like to keep them I travel away for work quite a bit so it's not practical for me to have pets. I'm trying here first rather than gumtree etc as I'd like them to go to a budgie enthusiast who will take care of them.
Bertie (mainly white male) is just over 2 years old and Twinkle (turquoise female) is a few months younger. Twinkle is mischievous and adventurous and Bertie is more sensible and laid back but they are very attached to each other.
They love fresh spinach and millet and also like to fly out of their cage regularly to stretch their wings.
They are fit & healthy – in Woodford Green, Essex IG8.
Hope someone can give these lovely birds a home.
Lou

Sadly lou7 I am not near enough to rehome these two beauties. I'm sure someone on here will be interested that live a little nearer. Good luck in your search, they are lovely healthy looking birdies. Some members won't be on until later in the day, so don't give up too soon.

both gorgeous, sorry that you are needing to do this and hopefully someone on here will be able to help.
Woodford Green for any one on here, is not far from hertfordshire borders/East London
everything crossed...

What a couple of sweeties, I hope you find them a good home.

I really, really hope you are able to find them a great home. If no one on here is able to help, perhaps consider contacting vets in your area - they might know of someone who has recently lost a bird or birds and looking to rehome/adopt. Stipulate that you need them to go together. Or any other friends or relatives that might be considering a couple of lovely little cheeps.

Thanks everyone - this is a friendly forum I've tried friends & family and have managed to rehome Mum's cat but so far not much interest in the budgies It's early days though so fingers crossed I'll be able to find a good home for them.

We are indeed 😊
I think a good idea too, as above, ask your local vets. They may be aware of people that have some, would like more. Or someone who sadly has lost and would love some

I concur with the advice of contacting your vet - that is where I rehomed my very first budgie from. I'm in the NW so too far but fingers crossed for you. The other option is your local rspca, if they have an aviary there? I've rehomed lots from them and they've always checked where the budgies will be living before I am allowed to buy them. So hopefully a good home would be found.
