Hello, I'm a little confused on my blue budgie's mutation. After much research shortly after they arrived home I thought I'd successfully decided she was a dominant pied, but now she's older and I've realised she still hasn't developed any sign of an iris ring. I'm a newbie with budgies and while Blue was definitely a juvenile when we first got her I'm assuming she's now adult as her forehead has moulted clear and her cere is telling me she's in breeding condition, along with the fact we've now had them for just under 5 months. When we first got them at the beginning of December to show her overall markings: Taken just now to show her face clearly: If recent photos of her full body are needed I can take some, but her body markings haven't changed except for her head so I thought maybe what I've posted will be enough. Is it possible to have a recessive pied with visually dominant pied markings or is it possible her iris ring is late developing and could change in the coming weeks? Green already had her adult plumage and iris ring when we brought them home so I haven't yet had experience at seeing the whole process through yet.
I don't have any prior genetic history as she's a pet shop budgie.
(I hope the formatting turns out ok, I can't seem to get the preview button to do anything)
Edited to add, I've found this photo from February if that helps give a better overall picture. I don't know her exact age when we got her, the pet shop said around 2 months at the beginning of December.
She started her forehead moult in mid-January.

If she was only a October hatching, then she is only six or seven months old. Her iris ring is probably still developing, usually the second half of their first year, not the first.

Thank you I'd wondered if I was just being impatient, it's great to get confirmation. Various things I've read on the iris ring suggest it should start becoming visible around 4-6 months and then develop into the lighter colour from there so it was throwing me a bit that she's roughly 6-7 months and doesn't have a sign yet.
