For me the photo needs to be clearer and closer, like your original photos in this thread.

Yes, much better. That looks more like a boy. Something I can see on the photos, you might not have noticed, under the cere on the RHS (left side looking at the bird) there appear to be several spots in its beak. They look like they could be the beginning signs of scaly mites. It might also just be a bit of food and will wash, wipe off but it would be worth checking them out properly and treating if necessary. Many people will treat all new birds for scaly mites, regardless, during quarantine so that they are known to be parasite-free before being introduced to the flock.

Oh good! Oh God really? Is that a pretty easy treatment? Have heard of it but never come across it before, what is the best treatment for it that I can buy? Thanks

Just managed to get a closer photo of the beak, would you say that's scaly mites?

Hello, cheeky!! He is a pretty boy ... the closer photo doesn't look as bad as the previous and I'm not convinced for sure that it is (or isn't) scaly face. Keep an eye on him over the next few weeks - it is a slow developer and easy to treat ( Ivermectin 0.1%). Because you are going to be looking at him over time, refer back to this last photo to see if it has gotten any worse. Where you are will depend on where you can buy treatment, but you should be able to get it on-line. Make sure you check the concentration - 0.1% as there are many concentrations out there, from treating beef cattle to our tiny budgies and finches. It is simply a drop of the liquid on the skin at the back of the neck of the bird. Preventative is just the one treatment, to cure a known infestation is three treatments each a week apart.

I have purchased this from pets at home shop, ( in the UK) so I'm gonna treat all my birds with the 1 dose just to be sure. I will keep an eye on them all over the period! Fingers crossed it's nothing but want to make sure! May aswell use the quarantine time to my advantage, appreciate everything you have done hezz!
