Hello everyone, I need a bit advice I’m having doubts of this kind of mutation, since he is the only one that (i guess i should call it) unique. His parent is a 1.0 Golden face cobalt normal x 0.1 spangle violet opaline dilute (no markings) This boy has a visually cinnamon marking His colour is a bit washed out though. But not as washed out as a dilute, because his cheek patch is still visibly purple like a light eggplant (which i think it categories as a dilute) So should i just call his mutation Just cinnamon? or dilute? or even cinnamon dilute? thank you very much for your help p.s. I’m sorry if my english or wording have offended anyone since english is my 2nd language.

Cinnamon is a diluting mutation, but giving the cheek patches a darker colouring than the dilute mutation, so from what you describe, I'd say this bird sounds like a cinnamon. I am no expert, perhaps get in touch with a breeders' association, they should be able to help you more than I can, for sure.

I'm guessing a greywing perhaps. I have a grey greywing and his cheekpatches are a similar colour.

I am also having difficulties identifying his mutation due to his color and his cheek patch. Im having doubts whether i should describe him as a dilute? Or just cinnamon. Though his cheek patch is dilluted, but it is still darker/deeper colour compare to a dilute. I may be wrong because i haven’t encounter a yellow faced dilute spangle before. Once again thank you for helping me identify his mutation

I guess you could say that his cheekpatch does resemble greywing, but his markings are 100% brown (cinnamon). Could he be called a spangle greywing cinnamon?

I had a little google and yes it's possible to have greywing and cinnamon, but they say that you probably wouldn't notice the cinnamon. Hmph. I don't know then. I am not sure that nev90 is still around, he would have known.
