The seed doesn't freeze so no need to defrost it. Mine have tonic seed twice a week and Haiths Bravo other times.

I got mine from Northern Parrots on line, one is feather up and the other is Bio plus pro biotic. You just put a pinch on there food. I know some of the others use different ones so you could wait until you see what they recommend

Hezz thank you so much for all the information, I really appreciate it.....I have been giving him spinach almost every day, plus trying other veg..... Regarding freezing the seed, will I need to dry it somehow once it has defrosted? Suesbird has already answered this, but just wanted to add that the bag may be a little moist on the outside when you take it out of the freezer; just wait a while for it to dry before putting into an air-proof container.

It's best to put on damp food, egg shells, corn, carrots etc.,

He won’t eat anything like that 😕 . He eats his seed, millet naturally, dried egg food and a bit of spinach. A fussy eater. He is quite young so I hope that will improve. But this is why I want him on the best seed.

The haithes bravo seed arrived today, and he loves it. I put a bit in with his dried egg food and he picked the seed out. So for a few days I will mix it with the Trill , then give the wild birds the rest . The tonic seed smell very strong of aniseed so I am not sure how he will like that or how I can give it to him as he is so fussy. Maybe just mix it with the bravo seed in a separate dish?
