Here in Sheffield we are hovering around 28 degrees! Lucky for me I work in air conditioning but our print room topped 42! I’m on my phone but will post a pic in a sec of Eric cooling down earlier. I’m now sat in the shade in the garden. What’s it like where you are?

It’s the same here in Berkshire helenmat, very hot. I’ve not long got home from work and fed the dogs early as I cannot take them out for at least another hour. The birds have been let out for a fly around. The living room where they are situated is north facing so it’s cool in there. Its a bit too hot for me but I’m not complaining as it won’t last long no doubt.

I'll bet he enjoyed that helenmat. It's warm here too, think we've to get thunderstorms during the night. I took Ben through to the bedroom this afternoon where we have a large window, he sat there thankful I think, of what little breeze there was. It'll be murder trying to sleep tonight.

In NYC, we just ended a week-long blistering heat wave where temps were high 90s and low 100s every day, and did not dip much at night. With high, soaking humidity to boot. A front moved in last night and brought torrential rain and hail for several hours and today we're in the low '80s which is far more bearable.

Not too bad here yet. Due to be 38 Thursday and I have to go on the underground. Wonder if we’ll be made to go in

Oh look at little Eric! Thats the best way to cool down for sure Hot here too, been close to 30 oManaged to find some greek basil in Sainsburys on Monday (remembering a skysmum post) which the birds love! Very different from ordinary basil but they buds were very grateful for the shower

It is far too hot for me too, I don't function very well at all and being over 30oC I really don't function at all. So.... I have bought an air cooler. It is really good and well worth the money, wouldn't be without it now. It takes an ice pack too, so really cools it down. Not looking forward to the electricity bill though, but we will see if it uses too much, shouldn't do by the spec.
It's really strange, so much hotter inside my house than outside!!!

Way too warm. It's due to be 32C here today. It's 28 in my living room already.
Budgies had some wet dill yesterday and I'll give them wet basil and a bath today.
It's meant to be 38C tomorrow, not looking forward to that.

I think it's going to be 33c here tomorrow but after that it's going to be cooler. My budgies are in the lounge which gets the sun only in the early morning, so the rest of the day it's quite comfortable for them, I also leave the window locked open on the vent and have the door open but with a net curtain across. I will put the bath out for them in the morning to see if they fancy a splash (not holding my breath )

It's so annoying, you put a bath out for these birds and they will only use it if they want to! No way will they have a bath two days in a row, hot or not!!

I know Shirls, I put one out for Ben the other day, even held it for him to tempt him in, he flew down to it, sat on the edge, ate the basil, and flew off 🤣🤣

Getting my guys to bathe is a nightmare!
Even though it's 33c in my living room.
