They’re very cute. One definitely is, but it looks like a bit of blue on the other, but also brown-ish?

So, do you think the other could be female?

The one on the left looks to be a hen.

That’s what I was wondering after I did a bit of reading. Thanks.

Yes boy on the right and the brighter green one on the left is a girl.

Thank you. They’re funny, big personality on the yellowish one. Out going, pretty brave after just a few days at home.
We let our child pick the names. Henry Green (green), Charlie Yellow (I’m sure you can guess, haha). She decided the genders are reversed of what they actually are, and was not happy when we had to tell her Charlie is a male.
The birds are inseparable. Charlie seems to be more outgoing and tries things first. Henry (I guess we’ll say short for Henrietta now), follows quickly behind.
The other day we noticed something that didn’t make sense to me. Henry Green was sitting on Charlie’s back. Also, the following morning Charlie seemed to be putting his head under Henry’s belly, and nudging her up. Maybe to get her on his back? Idk. Any guess on that? They seem to get along great though. Always preening each other, cleaning beaks, sitting close, etc.
Thanks for everyone’s time.

That’s what I thought. But I can’t think why they’d be doing that or he wanted a back scratch, lol

Just awful. We went out for a few hours. Charlie looked great. Ate, playing, hopped onto my arm to say hi before we left. Came home and he was obviously very sick at the bottom of the cage. Died within the hour of coming home.. No way to get him seen in time and clearly wouldn’t have mattered. Tried keeping him warm and comfortable.

Oh no! That’s horrible. I’m so so sorry. He obviously had been hiding an illness. There’s nothing you could have done.
It’s heartbreaking. RIP Charlie.
How’s Henry?
