I've never tamed a budgie let alone one so young. But being persistent is usually key. It may be a hen Well done in raising these chicks, I know that it takes a lot of time and patience.

No special tricks, just time, patience and kindness. You'll get there.

helenmat it looks like the original poster has deleted their first post. I'm not sure why people sometimes do this to be honest! Unfortunately there is no way to recover posts once deleted. This is from the security log:

It was me 🤦🏼♀️ I have no idea what I’m pressing it come up type delete? I did having no clue what I was deleting? Sorry, it was about taming a 3 week old who I have hand reared? She has now passed through her total savage stage? As long as I don’t try and pet her to much she will gladly climb all over me? We’re taking baby steps hopefully she will turn out as tame as her brother who is very cuddly and playful:) sorry about the deleting of the post I learn by my mistakes:)

All birds tend to go through a "teenage stage" when they are growing up, and do like to bite or rather mouthe things that can seem like a bite. Hens are known to have sharper "picks" so will feel like a bit more of a bite. All you can do is encourage her when she is being good with rewards of "good girl" and offer a little millet, and when she is naughty you say "no" firmly and put her back so she understands that bad behaviour is not rewarded. Hope that helps?
