Thanks ffiscool, I shall get some too, perhaps we can swop notes? I hope it's not too smelly, as I always think of the buds when using something like that.

Back onto the subject of green budgies, particularly my newbie Buddy, he imitates a parrot! There were several different species of parrot in the shop where I got him from. Freaked me out a bit to start with! Got even more freaked out this morning as the carbon manoxide alarm went off! How wrong could one be? It was Buddy, little scamp. This could become a bit of a problem!!

Clearly I’ll need to invest in a stick! Buddy is such a cutie! Hope you find that other green you liked, Shirls! Marianne Marlow I think is the one that christened them the "taxi stick" For my oldie boy Murph he mostly has the stannah stair lift instead (the finger) Taxi stick! I love it! Munchy just uses the stair lift too! Not sure how well that would go down with another though.

Sadly I don't think Buddy will talk because of all the other buds in the house. He's definitely being a parrot today, I think he misses the shop!!!

no, he won't with the others, but he might before he meets the others. I think Bailey would again if he was on his own

How is Buddy Shirls. I think that's the hard part of quarantine when the other bird/s can be heard but not seen.

Buddy is being a really good boy jellybean. We have two big training sessions per day. He steps up on the stick (mostly on command, but sometimes shows he is independent and stubborn!!) and he hasn't yet come out of his cage by himself, so I get him to step up on my finger and we come out the door, he has to duck, and he walks up my hand and then sits back on my finger, before he decides where he wants to fly to. I have a little, shallow shelf all round the bathroom, near the ceiling and he flies to there, sometimes back and forth and sometimes he just runs like a lunatic, pitter patter all along the shelf. He is so funny. Very difficult to get on camera though as he is so quick. At other times I go over and chat to him so he doesn't get too bored, and do a bit of finger step ups in the cage. So in answer to your question jellybean, so far, he is brilliant! He's only been here 10 days too. Just hope it lasts when he is integrated with the others and given the freedom that they enjoy. They are out all day most days, and out all the while I am indoors anyway, so he will get lots of freedom.
